LARP stands for Live Action Role-Playing. At its core, people physically step into characters and imaginary worlds instead of only experiencing them through a screen or tabletop.
Costumes, characters, quests and improvised storylines are part of the culture. The modern hobby grew out of role-playing, historical reenactment and fantasy communities in the late 20th century.
